State Police arrest Cambridge man for Making a Terroristic Threat

On September 20, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested John S. Deinzer, 63, of Cambridge, NY, for Making a Terroristic Threat.

On September 20, 2024, at about 2:00 p.m., Troopers received a complaint from the Jackson Town Offices reporting they received threatening letters.  The investigation determined that Deinzer had mailed and dropped in-person letters to the Jackson Town Offices.  Within the letters, Deinzer allegedly threatened to cause physical harm and kill multiple employees in the offices.

Deinzer was arrested in Fort Edward, NY, and transported to SP Greenwich for processing.  He was arraigned at the Jackson Town Court and released after paying the $2,500 cash bail set by the court.
