The New York State Police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 84 eastbound near exit 39 in the town of Newburgh that occurred today on February 20, 2024, at approximately 10:50 a.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Nissan Rogue struck the guiderail and flipped into the center median. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported to St Luke’s Hospital in serious condition.
This investigation is ongoing.
