Speeding, drugs, guns and DWI

On January 5, 2024, Troopers out of SP Buffalo arrested Raheem J. Sumler, 33 of Niagara Falls, NY for DWI- Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2^nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3^rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7^th degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1^st degree and Vehicle and Traffic Infractions.

On January 5, 2025, at 2:37 P.M., Troopers out of SP Buffalo conducted a traffic stop for speeding on the I-190 in the city of Buffalo. The operator, Sumler showed signs of impairment and the odor of burnt cannabis within the vehicle. Sumler was arrested and was found to have a loaded Springfield Armory 9mm handgun with extended magazines and narcotics.

Sumler was processed at SP Buffalo and transported to the city of Buffalo Jail for CAP arraignment.
