On December 4, 2023, Troopers arrested Joel L. Favaro, age 31, of Redford, NY for driving while intoxicated.
On December 4, 2023, at approximately 11:34 a.m., Troopers responded to State Route 3, in the town of Saranac for a property damage accident. An investigation determined Favaro was operating a gray 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe when he failed to maintain his lane striking a guard rail. Troopers interviewed Favaro and while speaking with him he was showing signs of impairment. Troopers administered SFST’s, which Favaro failed. He was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh, where he provided a breath sample of .14% BAC. He was issued vehicle and traffic tickets and an appearance ticket all returnable to the Town of Saranac Court for a later date in December.
