A pursuit in in Catskill leads to a DWI arrest of a Greenville man

On November 15, 2023, at approximately11:59 p.m., a Trooper from the Catskill barracks was patrolling near the intersection of State Route 32 and State Route 23a when he observed a white 2019 Honda Civic traveling north at a high rate of speed. The Trooper initiated a traffic stop. The operator of the vehicle, later identified as Joshua David Apjohn, age 19, from Greenville, New York, did not stop and attempted to elude the Trooper. A pursuit was initiated on State Route 32. The pursuit entered the town of Cairo. The operator of the Honda lost control of the vehicle on Ira Vail Road and left the road of the west shoulder and struck a tree. The pursuit traveled approximately five miles.

There were two passengers in the vehicle one who sustained minor injuries, they were treated and released at Columbia Greene Medical Center. Both passengers were 17.

Apjohn was treated and released at Albany Medical Center for minor injuries. He charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
