On January 29, 2024, the New York State Police in conjunction with the town of Poughkeepsie Police Department and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas Zemko, age 43, of Pleasant Valley, NY, for Assault in the 1st degree, a class B felony, three counts of Assault in the 2nd degree, five counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, all class D felonies, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 1st degree, a class E felony, and Menacing in the 2nd degree, A misdemeanor.
Investigation determined Zemko engaged in multiple physical domestic incidents in which he abused and assaulted the victim causing severe injury.
Zemko was arraigned before the town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond, or $400,000 partially secure bond. He is next scheduled to appear before the court on February 1, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
