Plattsburgh man arrested following multiple larceny complaints

On October 6, 2025, at approximately 8:57 a.m., New York State Police responded to Smithfield Boulevard in the town of Plattsburgh for a larceny complaint. An investigation determined that an unknown male had stolen merchandise, specifically two guitars, by passing all points of purchase without paying.

On January 8, 2026, at approximately 1:09 p.m., troopers responded to Walmart, located in Consumer Square in the town of Plattsburgh, for a separate larceny complaint. An investigation determined that a male entered the store and stole merchandise valued at over $1,000, again passing all points of purchase without paying.

During the investigation, the male was identified as Lee I. Sajler, age 39, of Plattsburgh, Clinton County. Further investigation determined that Sajler was also responsible for the theft of the two guitars from the October 6, 2025 incident.

Sajler was charged with Petit Larceny from the October incident and Grand Larceny 4th for the January incident. He was processed at State Police Plattsburgh. He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and released on his own recognizance.
