Pennsylvania male arrested after secondary search at Champlain Port of Entry

On March 9, 2024, State Police members arrested Affissy Sorgho, age 36, of Upper Darby, PA for possession of a forged instrument 2^nd, illegal possession of a vehicle identification number, and criminal possession of stolen property 3^rd.

On March 9, 2024, at approximately 5:40 p.m., Troopers responded to Champlain Port of Entry located on West Service Road in the town of Champlain for a stolen vehicle complaint.  US Customs and Border Protection officers and Troopers worked together to determine Sorgho altered the vehicle identification number and when the real identification number was located the vehicle was known to be stolen.

Sorgho was arrested and transported to SP Champlain for processing.  He was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
