Update: The New York State Police has determined that no foul play is suspected.
Original Press Release: On October 24, 2024, at approximately 11:47 a.m., New York State Police and EMS personnel were dispatched to a fishing access site across from 2677 Main Street in the village of Whitney Point.
A 35-year-old male from Whitney Point was located deceased along the riverbank. The investigation is on-going. The New York State Police does not believe the public is in any danger.
Whitney Point Fire, Lisle Fire and Maine Emergency Squad also responded to the scene.
