On October 1, 2024, the New York State Police SP Wappinger Bureau of Criminal Investigation, New Yor State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team was alerted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets to a nonspecific school threat via the TikTok application.
Investigation determined the threat originated from the town of Wappinger area. Investigators located and arrested the minor for Making A Threat Of Mass Harm, a class B misdemeanor, soon after. An appearance ticket returnable to Dutchess County Family Court was issued for a future date.
