The New York State Police are investigating two burglary complaints involving the same individuals

On September 21, 2025, at approximately 7:58 p.m., State Police responded to Pearl Street in the town of Crown Point for an assault complaint involving a baseball bat.  The investigation revealed a female suspect entered a residence and struck a female victim, with a baseball bat and caused physical injury. The female suspect fled the scene in a vehicle with two male accomplices.

The victim was transported to Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga for medical attention, where she sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Through further investigation, law enforcement was informed of a second altercation. On September 21, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a physical confrontation occurred at a residence on Elizabeth Street in the town of Moriah, involving two of the same suspects and the same victim.  The suspects entered the Elizabeth Street residence and physically assaulted the victim before fleeing.

The victim left the residence on Elizabeth Street without notifying law enforcement about the altercation.

State Police concluded that Nazaair Bryan, age 26, of Troy, NY, Zack R. Huntington, age 42, of Ticonderoga, NY, and Haley J. Smith, age 21, of Ticonderoga, NY, were involved in the burglary complaint that occurred at the Pearl Street residence.  Bryan and Smith were implicated in the burglary complaint at the Elizabeth Street residence.

Bryan and Smith have been charged with burglary in the 1st degree and assault 3rd degree related to the complaint on Elizabeth Street.  Additionally, Bryan, Smith, and Huntington were charged with burglary in the 1st degree and assault in the 2nd degree concerning the incident on Pearl Street, with Smith facing an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.

All three suspect were held at Essex County Jail awaiting pre-arraignment at the Town of Crown Point Court.

Zack Huntington, Nazaair Bryan and Haley J. Smith were arraigned in Crown Point Court on the following Burglary First Degree and Assault Second Degree for the Crown Point incident. Smith was also charged Criminal Possession of Weapon Fourth Degree.

Smith and Nazaair were also arraigned on the following Burglary First Degree and Assault Third Degree for the Moriah incident.

All three were arraigned in the Town of Crown Point Court, and all remanded to the Essex County Jail.
