Mooers Forks male arrested for assault 2nd and CPW 3rd

On September 12, 2025, New York State Police arrested Acie Wright, age 64, of Mooers Forks, NY, for second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

At approximately 2:11 a.m. on September 12, 2025, troopers responded to Route 11 in the town of Mooers for a reported stabbing incident. The investigation revealed that Wright and the victim had engaged in a verbal argument, during which Wright, armed with a knife, stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim was transported to CVPH and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Wright was arrested and taken to SP Champlain for processing. He was subsequently arraigned in the Town of Mooers Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
