A Montour Falls man is arrested after a daytime burglary in Schuyler County

On September 22, 2024, at approximately 1:59 p.m., troopers from SP Montour Falls responded to 105 Washington Street in the village of Montour Falls for a report of a burglary in progress. 

An investigation revealed that a male suspect had entered the residence through forced entry by a window. When law enforcement arrived, they cleared the building and located Robert A. Stevens, age 31, of Montour Falls, NY,  inside the residence. 

Stevens was arrested for Burglary 3rd (D Felony) and Petit Larceny (A Misdemeanor). He was processed at SP Montour Falls and transported to Schuyler County Jail for CAP arraignment.  

The New York State Police were assisted by the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
