On November 24, 2024, State Police members arrested John Gagnon, age 60, of Lake Placid, NY, for assault 2nd.
On November 23, 2024, at approximately 7:24 p.m., Troopers responded to Wesvalley Road in the town of North Elba for a physical domestic. An investigation determined Gagnon and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which turned physical when Gagnon kneed the victim in the face, causing visual bruising to the eye. The victim was evaluated medically by EMS and transported to Adirondack Health Saranac Lake. The victim was later released with non-life-threatening injuries.
Gagnon was arrested and transported to SP Ray Brook for processing. Gagnon was arraigned in the Town of North Elba Court, where he was remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
