

MEDIA ADVISORY
The New York State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation will hold a media availability on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 9 a.m., at SP Florida, 36 Meadow Road in Florida NY, 10921.
Investigators will be available to answer questions about the ongoing investigation into the murder of Dawn Marino. Following the media availability, investigators will visit the Rinky Dink Bar (former Corner Tavern) in Pine Island, NY, and the cistern where Dawn Marino’s remains were discovered in the town of Warwick, NY.
Dawn Marino, age 22, was last seen alive on May 16, 1981, outside the Corner Tavern in Pine Island, NY. She was reported missing the next day. Six years later, on October 31, 1987, her remains were discovered in a cistern in the town of Warwick, NY. Over the last 44 years, New York State Police has actively investigated this murder, with the assistance of the town of Warwick Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
