Hudson man arrested following domestic incident involving juvenile in Red Hook

On April 1, 2026, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Rhinebeck were notified of a past physical domestic incident at a private residence in the town of Red Hook.

An investigation determined that Zackariah J. Jackson, 35, of Hudson, New York, became involved in a physical domestic dispute with a juvenile. During the incident, the juvenile sustained a laceration to the lip. The dispute escalated to the ground, where Jackson applied pressure to the juvenile’s neck with his forearms, obstructing their breathing.

On April 8, 2026, Jackson was arrested and charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and one count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing.

Jackson was arraigned in the Town of Red Hook Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on April 23, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
