On April 7, 2024, the New York State Police in Brewster began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast.
Troopers were dispatched to crash involving a wrong way driver on eastbound Interstate 84. Investigation determined Alexandra R. Quinn, age 30, of Ridgefield, CT, operating a 2023 Subaru Cross Trek westbound in the eastbound lanes struck a 2024 Volvo tractor trailer combination operated by Ryan J. Everett, age 25, of Miami, FL, head-on.
Alexandra Quinn was pronounced deceased at the scene. The tractor trailer operator was uninjured.
This investigation remains ongoing.
