On September 1, 2025, at approximately 6:11 p.m., troopers from the New York State Police Ellenville barracks responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on State Route 209 in the town of Rochester, Ulster County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on State Route 209 when, for unknown reasons, it exited the roadway via the western shoulder into a wooded area.
The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Timothy Avery, age 58, of Kerhonkson, NY, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
