On February 16, 2024, the New York State Police responded to the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Gallatin on the northbound side for a single vehicle crash.
The vehicle was located fully engulfed in flames off the roadway near mile marker 76. Taghkanic Fire Department extinguished the fire and located the driver deceased. The operator and sole occupant was identified as Joseph R. Genua, age 68, of East Fishkill, NY.
This investigation is ongoing.
