On April 14, 2024, the New York State Police from the Somers barracks began investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to the area of mile post marker 13 on the northbound side of I-684 for a vehicle off the roadway. Upon arrival the operator and sole occupant was found deceased. Investigation of the crash revealed the 2006 Honda CRV veered to the left, entered the median at a high rate of speed, and struck a tree.
Initially the operator was identified with a valid New York driver’s license as Jose Perez Rosa. Further investigation determined this was a false alias and the operator was in fact Mario B. Goris, age 53, of Bronx, NY.
