On March 14, 2025, the SP Poughkeepsie Bureau of Criminal Investigation, in conjunction with the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center, arrested 49-year-old Eric Pentenrieder from Beekman, NY, on multiple charges, including forcible touching (class “A” misdemeanor), sexual abuse in the 2nd and 3rd degrees ( class “A” and “B” “misdemeanors), endangering the welfare of a child (class “A” misdemeanor) and sexual conduct against a child in the 1st degree ( class “B” felony).
The investigation revealed that Pentenrieder had inappropriate contact with two children, who were not related to him, both under the age of 14, between November 2021 and January 2024.
Pentenrieder was arraigned at Beekman Town Court and was ordered held at the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond, or $250,000 fully secured bond. Pentenrieder is to reappear in the Town of Beekman Court on March 19, 2025.
