Buffalo man arrested for extensive retail theft

On January 8, 2025, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Clarence arrested Eric Santiago Delmoral, 35 of Buffalo, NY for charges from January 5, 2025 theft, Grand Larceny 4th degree (Class E Felony) and Conspiracy 5th degree (Class A Misdemeanor). Additionally charges for January 6, 2025 theft, Robbery 3rd degree (Class D Felony), Grand Larceny 3rd degree (Class D Felony), Conspiracy 5th degree (Class A Misd) and Making a Threat of Mass Harm (Class B Misd).

On January 8, 2025, SP Clarence Bureau Criminal Investigation responded to Bath and Body Works in the town of Clarence for a retail theft and a possible threat of mass harm. The investigation determined on January 5, 2025, two black male suspects entered the store and stole products valued at over $1,800. The same individuals returned on January 6, 2025, and stole additional products totaling over $3,000. While attempting to leave the store on January 6, a suspect allegedly threatened store employees, stating, “I have a bomb” and “this is a bomb threat.”

Through diligent investigative efforts, the BCI identified one of the suspects as Santiago Delmoral. Santiago Delmoral was apprehended in the city of Buffalo after attempting to flee on foot from Troopers.

Further investigation revealed that Santiago Delmoral is connected to 10 theft incidents at various Bath and Body Works locations in the area, with a total value of $14,296.85 in stolen merchandise.

Santiago Delmoral was arraigned in the town of Clarence Court and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in $5k cash/$15k bond. Santiago Delmoral next court appearance is January 15, 2025.
