On December 4, 2023, State Police members arrested Joshua P. Villnave, age 38, of Brushton, NY for criminal contempt 2nd, harassment 2nd, criminal mischief 4th, and endangering the welfare of child.
On December 3, 2023, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Troopers responded to Washington Street in the village of Brushton for a domestic dispute. An investigation determined a verbal argument occurred between Villnave and the victim. Villnave left the residence but returned later causing damage to the front door by kicking it in, punching the thermostat on the wall, breaking it. Further investigation revealed there is an active refrain from order of protection in place.
Villnave was arrested and transported to SP Malone for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Bangor Court where he was released on his own recognizances.
