On February 27, 2024, State Police members arrested Jacob I. Moody, age 43, of Bloomingdale, NY for criminal contempt 1st, criminal mischief 4th. Endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment 2nd.

On February 11, 2024, at approximately 1:18 p.m., Troopers responded to Academy Way in the town of Saint Armand for a domestic dispute.  An investigation determined Moody and the victim were involved in a verbal argument which turned physical when Moody grabbed the victim by the arms and pushed the victim.  As the altercation continued Moody grabbed the television remote, threw it at the victim striking the victim in the face.  Moody took the victims cell phone and left the residence prior to law enforcement arriving.  During the whole altercation, a child was present, and an active order of protection was in place protecting the victim from Moody.  

Moody was located, arrested, and transported to SP Ray Brook for processing. He held in Essex County Jail for pre-arraignment hold.
