The New York State Police continue to investigate the 1985 disappearance of 22-year-old SUNY Albany student Karen Louise Wilson. Karen was a senior at SUNY Albany when she disappeared on March 27th, 1985. The last confirmed sighting of Karen occurred at 7:20 p.m. when she left the Tanning Hut located at 1670 Central Ave. in the town of Colonie. There were three unconfirmed sightings of Karen later that evening. All three independent witnesses reported seeing Karen walking south on Fuller Rd. towards the SUNY Albany campus in the vicinity of the Six Mile Waterworks Park (Also known as Rensselaer Lake) and the I-90 westbound on-ramp. These three sightings all occurred between 8:10pm and 8:20pm. Karen has not been seen since.
Karen is a white female, 5’03”, 114lbs, with brown eyes, and brown hair. She was last seen wearing faded blue Levi’s jeans, a light blue short-sleeved Izod golf shirt, a cream-colored women’s raincoat, white sneakers, a fourteen-karat gold ring with a blue zircon, and a Seiko watch with a black face. She was carrying a gray cloth pocketbook and may have also been carrying a blue knapsack.
