Overview
School and Community Outreach Coordinators (SCOCs) maintain a statewide presence and present to schools, community and business groups on a variety of topics. The SCOCs are well versed in the intricacies of school safety and security, crime prevention and deterrence, and effective crisis response.
The SCOCs are available to attend meetings and serve as committee members of organizations dealing with all types of crime prevention. The School and Community Outreach Coordinators have received specialized training in the area of school violence, crime prevention, conflict management and emergency management.
