What is FIC School?
Forensic and Investigative Careers (FIC) School is a unique opportunity for local students to meet and learn from forensic scientists and other professionals from the New York State Police and the Forensic Laboratory System. FIC School is based out of the Forensic Investigation Center in Albany and meets several times per academic year (see schedule below), with sessions exploring different disciplines of forensic science and investigative careers.
After each lecture session, students will have the opportunity to meet with forensic professionals to answer any questions and for a more personal and in-depth look into the mentors’ own experiences. Students can apply this knowledge to their own academic and professional paths while also networking with students and faculty from other academic institutions.
