1927: The Department of State Police turned 10 years old and a reorganization took place which changed its designation to the Division of State Police in the Executive Department of New York State.
1921: The New York State Legislature places the Railroad and Steamboat Police operating within New York State, under the authority of the Superintendent of State Police.
