2017: The New York State Police Centennial celebration begins.

2016: A Uniform Detail of troopers has been trained to re-establish The State Police Mounted Detail.

2015: The State Police becomes the lead agency in a massive law enforcement manhunt for two escaped prisoners of Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora.  

2012: Troopers from around the state respond to Long Island to assist with public safety efforts after Hurricane Sandy.

2012: Troop G moves to a new Headquarters building on Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham.

2009: After extensive research and testing, the State Police select ballistic door panels to be installed in all new patrol vehicles.

2009: The State Police completed research into the types and models of patrol rifles available to law enforcement.
