Buckle Up New York!

The 20th wave of the statewide “Buckle Up New York” campaign is underway, and will run through Sunday, November 26. More than 500 police agencies have again joined the New York State Police in this latest "zero tolerance" enforcement effort, which is intended to save lives by ensuring all motorists and their passengers are buckled up.

Across the state, troopers will conduct more than 75 safety restraint checkpoints during the 14-day enforcement sweep. During the last Buckle Up New York enforcement wave, held over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, troopers, deputies, and police officers staffed 645 checkpoints statewide and issued more than 58,000 safety restraint citations.
