|Duties & Responsibilities:||Responsible for the financial management of Federal grant awards including working with grant program managers, monitoring expenditures to assure that they are within Federal guidelines, preparing fiscal reports consistent with Federal reporting requirements, and maintaining records in compliance with Federal audit standards.
Under the direction of the Associate Budgeting Analyst, assist in the preparation of reports for agency management on disbursements and projection of future needs. Other duties will include the review and preparation of other reports related to budget activities required by control agencies.
Responsible for the maintenance of accounting records of agency account receivables. This will include the preparation of billing documents and forecasting of receivable amounts.
As assigned, will be responsible to conduct special or continuing studies in order to obtain pertinent budgetary evaluative material and develop appropriate recommendations for effective and efficient utilization of available resources.
Responsible to review and recommend approval or disapproval of purchase requests in assigned fields depending on the propriety of need, justification and availability of funds.
Responsible to prepare written instructions and interpretive analysis to agency staff on policies and procedures promulgated by the Division of the Budget and the Office of the State Comptroller.
|Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:||Bachelor's Degree.
One (1) year satisfactory completion of permanent service in a title allocated to SG-14 or higher with Finance, Purchasing or Accounting responsibilities.
An Associate's Degree AND two (2) years experience relating to the subject position or at least two (2) years of post-secondary education AND two (2) years experience relating to the subject position.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree with at least 24 credit hours in accounting, finance, or business.
|Additional Comments:||Starting Salary: $48,911.00.
